If you’re looking for the perfect delicious healthy treat to enjoy this Valentine’s Day, these pretty chocolate covered clementine hearts are perfect for you to make and enjoy!

I was looking for a festive way to brighten up our usual clementine snack for my family, and these fruity treats were so easy to make and absolutely delicious. They definitely double as the perfect light dessert idea too!

Chocolate covered clementine hearts

You’ll need:

Toothpicks

Microwave safe bowl

Spoon

Parchment paper

Ingredients:

  • 2 or 3 clementines
  • 30g white chocolate
  • 2-4 drops of red food coloring
  • Tsp of pink sprinkles (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Peel and pull apart clementines
  2. Pair 2 clementine segments together, cutting the bottom portion off of 1 or 2 so they form the shape of a heart
  3. Add your 2 clementine segments onto a toothpick, repeat until they’re all paired up
  4. Break/chop white chocolate into small pieces and microwave for 30 seconds at a time until melted, stir between each melt
  5. Add food coloring to white chocolate and stir
  6. Depending on the depth of your bowl, either dip the bottom of your clementine segments into the pink white chocolate or use a spoon to scoop and cover your clementines
  7. If you want to add some more festive color and crunch onto your clementines, add some sprinkles onto them now
  8. Put your chocolate covered clementine hearts onto a parchment covered baking tray or board and cool in fridge. The chocolate doesn’t take too long to harden, usually 30 minutes to an hour and they’ll be ready
  9. Enjoy!
